mary-graceMary Grace grew up in Massachusetts, training at the Diane Kelley Dance Studio for sixteen years. This is where she discovered her love of movement and creation. She received her BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts in 2015, under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. Mary Grace has worked as a choreographer and teacher for the past five years, pushing herself and the students she works with to constantly evolve. In 2012, Mary Grace was honored to receive the accolade of American Dance Awards’ National Young Choreographer of the Year, and in 2016, she was announced as American Dance Awards’ Choreographer of the Year.
Over the past four years, Mary Grace has performed works choreographed by Doug Varone, Katie Swords-Thurman, Tommie-Waheed Evans, and Netta Yerushalmy. In the spring of 2013, she co-produced her first professional production entitled, Launch: Something Collective, along side four other emerging artists in Philadelphia, PA. Her work has been performed in the U.S., France, and Belgium, as well as the 2015 REVERBdance Festival and Peridance Capezio Center’s Summer Showcase in New York City.
