Christina Manno is a passionate dancer, choreographer, instructor, and dance team coach throughout the tristate area, where she has been training kids and adults of all ages full time since 2010. She graduated from Manhattanville College in the spring of 2012, receiving a B.A. in Dance and Theatre with a concentration in Dance Therapy as well as a minor in Psychology. Since graduation, Christina had the honor of dancing professionally with the Gotham City Cheerleaders, the professional dance team in support of the New York Football Giants. As a dedicated member of the GCC for two complete seasons, her biggest credits include an appearance on America’s Got Talent, and her involvement in the Super Bowl XLVIII Pepsi Halftime Performance.
Christina has founded and directed one competition team in Westchester County, as well head coached several others. She has brought many opportunities to her dancers, including a chance to perform a full-length piece in Walt Disney World Florida, under her direction. In addition to teaching dance at SSSPA, she is currently the Head Coach and Choreographer of the Pace University Dance Team, which performs at all Pace University football and basketball games on the Pleasantville campus. As a Coach at Pace, she trains her team in fitness and a variety of dance styles, and inspires her dancers to work hard, believe in themselves, and become the best dancers they can be. Under Christina’s direction, Pace Dance Team members participate in community service events such as the P4K Dance Marathon and Relay for Life of Pace University.
Summer projects include creating and facilitating dance programs and choreographing camp plays for day camps such as Kiwi Country Day Camp (2012-2016) and Breezemont Day Camp (2017-present).
In her free time, Christina is a Dancer and Party Motivator for Infinity Night Club and Hal Prince Entertainment. She loves taking a multitude of classes at Broadway Dance Center, with choreographers such as Jared Jenkins, Chio, Eric Campros, and Beth Goheen, whenever she has the chance, having participated in the 2016 Broadway Dance Center Winter Dance Intensive in the Professional Category. Christina is so excited for the opportunity to share her love for dance with her students at SSSPA, as well as the skills she has acquired throughout her years of training!
